Eight faculty members are showing their work in St. Louis Community College-Wildwood’s art exhibition, which runs through March 5.
The exhibition spans 60 feet and includes artwork from Terrell Carter, James Davania, Sean Frye, Joan Oakley, Mark Oakley, Mark Weber, Corey Sellers and Ken Worley.
According to Mark Weber, gallery coordinator, the exhibition aims to inspire creativity by showcasing each artists’ unique style.
“Every faculty member who teaches art at STLCC is a producing artist,” Weber said. “What they teach in the classroom comes from years of practice and research. The ideas and images they produce in their studios is evidence of the artistic journey.”
STLCC-Wildwood’s Gallery of Contemporary Art is located on the campus’ third floor, 2645 Generations Drive. Gallery hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
