The community is invited to attend the Wildwood Business Association Summer Balloon Glow slated for Saturday, Aug. 5, from 6-9 p.m. at St. Louis Community College-Wildwood, 2645 Generations Drive.
The event, originally planned for July 22, had to be postponed due to weather.
This family-friendly festival features five hot air balloons, live entertainment, food and beverage vendors, activities for kids and more. All proceeds benefit the Wildwood Family YMCA.
The balloons, which are sponsored in part by Re/Max One, US Inspect, Cherry Hills Family Eye Care and Endeavor Capital Mortgage, will start rising as dusk begins to fall. Prior to the main attraction, guests will enjoy live music and entertainment, including a “mystery cash” giveaway sponsored by West Newsmagazine.
A variety of business owners also will have booths at the event to showcase their products and services.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including signature cocktails, beer and craft brews.
Paid parking is available at STLCC-Wildwood and the Wildwood Family YMCA. The cost is $10 per vehicle. The parking lots will open at 5:30 p.m. Handicap parking is available at STLCC-Wildwood. Guests should consider carpooling as a limited number of parking spaces are available for this event.
If the forecast calls for unfavorable rain or wind conditions on Aug. 5, the Balloon Glow may be postponed or canceled. This decision will be made the morning of the event. For up-to-date information, check the WBA’s Facebook Events.
