STLCC has joined the Midwest Student Exchange program (MSEP), offered through the Midwestern Higher Education Compact. As a result, new and continuing students who reside in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin will be able to take STLCC classes for this reduced tuition rate, similar to that paid by other Missouri residents when they register for classes.
In addition to having a residence address in an MSEP-participating state, a student also must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident.
The program is not retroactive. Students can only use the MSEP rate for coursework in summer 2017 and terms thereafter.
The Midwestern Higher Education Compact helps improve access to postsecondary education through the MSEP. Since 1994, the MSEP has provided more affordable opportunities for students to attend out-of-state institutions. The MSEP serves as the Midwest’s largest multi-state tuition reciprocity program.
More than 100 colleges and universities in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin have opened their doors to each other’s citizens at more affordable rates.
