A native of Atlanta, Ga., Johnson joined St. Louis Community College in 2016. He serves as the chief executive of the campus, providing academic and administrative leadership. He also is actively working to strengthen community partnerships for STLCC.
Johnson has more than a decade of experience as a faculty member and academic leader in community and technical college education. Prior to joining STLCC, he served as the associate dean of academic affairs at Broward College-South campus. He began his career as an English and Reading instructor at Tallahassee Community College.
Johnson holds a Doctor of Arts degree in humanities from Clark Atlanta University, a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Florida A&M University, and a master’s degree in humanities from Florida State University. He is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in institutional research in higher education.
