Two students who attended St. Louis Community College through the Gateway to College program were selected valedictorians of their graduating class at Normandy High School.
Kalien Boykin and Jahon Admad-Gol both attended STLCC-Florissant Valley full time while also completing requirements at Normandy.
Boykin has earned 48 total STLCC credits, with a 3.92 cumulative grade-point average. His GPA from fall 2016 through spring 2017 was 4.0. He was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa chapter during fall 2016. Boykin attended 2016 Peer Learning Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., and has accumulated multiple scholarships. He plans to attend the University of Missouri-St. Louis this fall to study accounting.
Ahmad-Gol has earned 33 total STLCC credits, with a 3.88 cumulative GPA. He, too, had a 4.0 GPA for fall 2016-spring 2017, and was inducted into PTK in fall 2016. He hopes to attend Saint Louis University in the fall to study accounting. Ahmad-Gol interned at the Centene Corp. during the past year.
Another Gateway to College student, Lauren Bowers, also graduated from Normandy.
