In what has been an up-and-down season for the STLCC women’s soccer team, the Archers will face what may represent their most challenging weeks ahead, as they conclude the regular season schedule with four of their last five games on the road.
Offense has been hard to come by for STLCC, as the Archers have tallied five goals in the team’s 11 games. The Archers did show a considerable measure of progress in their most recent game, however, a 2-1 loss to Lake County College on Saturday. STLCC will return to action Thursday at Southwestern Illinois College. The last meeting between the two teams was postponed due to lightning, with the rescheduled date eventually canceled.
The Archers’ final home game will be on October 14, when they take on MCC-Blue River, which will also mark the last regular season matchup against a regional opponent. The Region XVI tournament begins on Oct. 31.
