The American Heart Association has designated February as Heart Month, and Cosand Center employees are participating in a number of activities to learn more about the disease that is the No. 1 killer of women.
The activities are designed to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and its risks for women.
On Feb. 7, several employees marked “Go Red for Women Day” by wearing red and gathering for an informal photo. A Lunch-and-Learn Session is planned noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the large board room on the fifth floor. Heart-related activities are planned; dark chocolate and water will be provided.
