The Archer concluded the regular season with a 17-7 win over the Fontbonne University junior varsity on May 2. Freshman outfielder Drew Kitson was 3-for-4 at the plate, including a home run and three runs batted in. Freshman outfielder Brandon Gutzler also went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Sophomore Austin Simokaitis is 4-2 with a 4.28 ERA in 54.2 innings pitched. Freshman Jacob Koelling has a 3-1 mark with one save and a 1.69 ERA.

Should the Archers win their opener, they would face either No. 2 seed Crowder College or No. 7 North Central at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8. An opening loss would send the Archers to a 10 a.m. game against either top-seeded Jefferson College or No. 8 seed St. Charles Community College.

The tournament is double elimination. The title game is slated for 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10; however, if it is the first loss for either squad, a deciding game will be played at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 11.
